WA – New checklist for applications for certification advice under the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme

The checklist for applying for nomination certification has been amended to reflect updated criteria released by the Department of Home Affairs and comes into effect today. This will not affect applications for certification advice that have already been lodged with Migration Services.The updated criteria is listed below:
* We must be satisfied that there is a genuine need for the identified person to be employed in the position, under the direct control of the nominator. 
* We must be satisifed that the position cannot be filled by an Australian citizen or permanent resident who is living in, or would move to, the local area concerned.
* We must be satisfied that the identified person will be paid at least the annual market salary rate for the occupation.
